After highschool, I want to finish my last year of Powell Legion baseball and explore options that come up with that. But if no options arise from baseball, I want to pursue a career in the automotive industry. I want to repair vehicles, make them faster, louder, more powerful. Casper College offers courses that would give me not only certification in the automotive industry, but an associates degree in applied science. For a new vehicle, I would like to have a Ram 1500 or 2500. If I could find between a 98 and a 07 would be ideal. It could be either gas or diesel. This type of vehicles can run a price tag of anywhere from $2000 to $35000.
To pay for schooling, housing, and vehicle, I feel I could apply my newly acquired knowledge in automotives, or try to get hired at the local bowling alley. I feel the bowling alley would work because of my highschool experience working in a bowling alley.
The cost of housing would be around $500 dollars a month. To help pay this, I have a friend who is also thinking about a career in vehicle repair, and we would split the rent. Although this period of life would be tough I feel it would pay off.
After college, my friend and I want to work in automotives and eventually open our own shop in either Sheridan, Gillette, or Casper.
